Hookahs in Poland
Hookahs are used in Poland but not as casually as they are in most countries. Instead of being called hookahs they either go by the name “shisha” or “nargila”. Shisha is a popular term for hookah which is used in various countries across the world. Even with a country that doesn’t have a large interest in hookahs there will still be some hookah businesses in the larger cities though.
Popularity
Hookahs are not extremely popular in Poland but there is still a small portion of the population that smokes with hookahs. You can find hookahs available in tea shops and some restaurants in the larger cities of Poland. There are not nearly as many hookah businesses in Poland as various other countries but you can still easily find a place with hookahs available. It should cost around 20-50 PLZ (7-12 Euros) for a hookah in Poland.
With younger people starting to get into the habit of smoking from hookahs the interest in hookahs is starting to rise. New shops are continuing to open and there is room for a boost in popularity of hookahs in Poland. Compared to decades ago the popularity of hookahs in Poland has severely increased but not nearly as much as it did in other countries.
