Hookahs in Italy

Hookahs are not as common in Italy as they are in most countries across the world. There are not many hookah bars open at this point in Italy but they are starting to become noticed. The amount of hookah businesses located in Italy is continuing to grow each year and the popularity of hookahs is always increasing in Italy.

Anti-Smoking Laws

Smoking with a hookah is considered to be a much healthier method than smoking cigarettes and is thought to be not nearly as irritating. With the large amount of smokers in the world it’s critical that a healthier method of using tobacco is developed and for some the answer to their search is to use a hookah. The main issue with this for people in Italy would be that hookahs are part of the anti-smoking laws.

At one point in Italy wet and fruit flavored tobacco was banned. However the laws against wet and fruit flavored tobacco has changed and now is removed. As Italy is not limited by Monopolio di Stato anymore the production of tobacco for hookahs is possible. Italy is a country which is known for producing very high quality tobacco for hookahs. Even thought Italians don’t generally have a strong attachment to hookahs there is still a decent amount of people in Italy who use hookahs regularly.
